Hello, lovelies! Hope you have all been enjoying the holiday season! It's a busy time of year! Things have been a little quiet on the blogging front for me lately so that I can enjoy this season with family and friends, and so that I can catch up and get some important things done before the new year! I do have some fun projects to share with you coming up, starting with today! My blog friends and I are back with the Monthly DIY Challenge for December! This month, in light of Christmas being right around the corner, we chose to use clear craft ornaments. They could be glass or plastic, and we could use as many as we wanted. Some of the girls got really creative with it! I can't wait for you to see their projects! I chose to make.... ornaments! Ha :)
The ornaments I created are actually a spin off of some ornaments my mom and I made years and years ago (I think I was in high school!). We gave ornaments as gifts to family and friends. They were decorated with red and white feather boas, red, green, white, and silver paint marker designs, glittery puffy paint shape outlines, and loose glitter on the inside. They were so stinkin' cute, and they were a big hit with the family! Now that I'm old enough to have my own Christmas tree (I can't believe I'm so old!), I decided to make my own version of those, and I think they turned out rather adorable if I do say so myself ;)
- Clear glass craft ornaments from Michaels
- Gold metallic Sharpie
- White feather craft boa

I love how they turned out, although my husband described them as looking "scandalous." What a goof :) They add a little bit of glam to our tree and bring out the gold and white accents throughout our holiday decor. They were really easy and quick to make. They are also easily customizable to any colors and designs that you like!
