Third Trimester Must Haves

Essentials to get through the last trimester of pregnancy!

Now that I'm past my due date (arghhhhhhh!), I thought I would share some things that were helpful for me in the third trimester!!! I can't believe I'm already at the end! Pregnancy absolutely flew by!!!! And now the little man will be here any day now (hopefully sooner rather than later! Come on, baby!).

I don't have as many items to share this trimester because many of my first trimester and second trimester must haves were also beneficial during the third trimester, but there are definitely a few things that are new or that became extra important as I neared the end.

DIY Cork Wrapped Succulent Planter- Monthly DIY Challenge

Simple DIY cork wrapped succulent planter

Alright, I'll admit, this month's challenge item totally had me stumped for a while. I had been thinking about it for weeks. What could I do beyond the obvious? I didn't want to make a cork board. I thought about making coasters or trivets, but those are readily available for purchase these days. I didn't want to use wine corks because that would mean destroying my collection and emptying my DIY wine cork storage bin. Then I remembered that winter is coming and I desperately needed to move my succulents indoors before the first frost! I end up needing to repot them every year, so now was the perfect opportunity. And so it was decided. I was going to use cork to make a succulent planter!

Frogs, snails, and puppy dog tails- Baby Shower

It seems like forever ago now, but really my baby shower was just a little over a month ago. Funny how time goes by during pregnancy! My sweet momma did most of the planning, and I absolutely adored the theme she came up with! It was perfect for a baby boy, that's for sure! (Check out the adorable invitations she sent that were ordered from The Green Grass Grows*)

What's in my hospital bag?

Great hospital packing list and tips!

With Baby B's due date just two weeks away (eeeeek!), we are preparing for our inevitable trip to the hospital! I started throwing items into my bags weeks ago, but I finally feel like they are complete and ready to go. In preparation for packing, I looked over many different hospital packing lists on Pinterest and made a list of things I thought were important. I also relied on my prior experience as a post-partum nurse to help decide what things were unnecessary. From that experience, I know what the hospital will provide for you and what things patients brought that they never used.
